In the last year, we published almost 50 Startup Spotlights. Yup. There were so many we recapped them in two parts (which you can find here and here).
And people say Lansing isn’t a Startup City. Ha!
We featured startups ranging from a DJ right on your phone to a company working on a drone. And businesses specializing in anything from getting away for the weekend to helping you connect with others that share your interests. That’s a pretty wide range. (Check them all out!)
The thing is, we know you are all out there building more businesses that will blow up in the next year. Who knows what you’ll come up with next. Well, we want to know! We would love to spend all our time scouring the incubators and startup events for the businesses we haven’t covered yet, but hey, we’ve got A LOT to do. After all, Lansing IS a pretty active startup community.
The point? We need your help. In order to keep publishing one Startup Spotlight a week, we need to be in touch with Startups! We can’t write about you if we don’t know about you.

Maybe you’ve already got an audience, but so do we. And two audiences are better than one, right?
Help Answering, “What do you do?”
We know it can feel intimidating when someone asks what you do. How do you describe your business? It’s complicated. You just don’t know how to explain it.
We can help. We interview you and write a simple overview of your business. We ask, “What problem are you trying to solve?” Giving you the chance, if you haven’t already, to tell the consumer what you are trying to do for them.
Fundraising
We can help you fundraise. Not in the sense that we will stand on the corner with a bucket and a monkey singing show tunes (we save that for the weekends) but we WILL help you promote your fundraising efforts.
