Startup Grind Lansing will be hosting Linda Hundt, founder of Sweetie-licious Bakery Café, as their speaker for their September event.
Linda has won numerous awards, including Best of Show in the 2009 Crisco National Pie Championships and the 2009 prestigious Athena Powerlink award. She has been featured in several magazines and newspapers, including Parade and Country Living, and she has also appeared on numerous television segments, including the “Food Network Challenge” on Food Network.
She has loved baking her whole life, and in 2002, she decided to quit her job and follow her dream of opening a pie shop. Sweetie-licious started off as a home-based business; Linda sold her pies at local farm markets and high-end restaurants. Now, Sweetie-licious has grown into two locations: one in Dewitt and one in Grand Rapids.
Sweetie-licious provides customers with a sense of nostalgia through the business’s vintage atmosphere. Through following her dreams and opening a pie shop, Linda was able to overcome depression and grow a successful business.
To learn more about Linda, her business and what it takes to Startup, come on out to Startup Grind on September 17th, at 6:00pm. Get your tickets today!
